<Company growth>

1985 Capital is increased to 10 million yen. IDEX changes the business field and starts manufacturing vibration testers for the inspection of electronic products.
1989 IDEX develops the general purpose Shock Tester and acquires patent for Vibration Tester. Capital is increased to 17 million.
1993 IDEX develops the Parts Pallatizer for the alignment of electronic parts. A major electronic parts manufacturer acquires the pallatizer on a large scale. IDEX garners excellent reviews.
1994 IDEX concludes a contract with Furuya Metal Co., Ltd making Furuya the sole agent forParts Palletizer and the Pallet/Jig line fo products.
1997 In response to the trend towards the downsizing electronic devices, IDEX develops the first compact handy type tester for use with smaller products that is capable of generating both vibration and shock. The tester is used in conjunction with robots in various industrial fields.
1998 IDEX develops a high precision Parts Palletizer (BFP-2AC) capable of handling extremely small precision ceramic and ferrite electronic parts. In addition to aligning parts, the Pallatizer's jig pallet software technology also enables screening based on part dimensions, obverse/reverse sorting, etc. Equipped with an original sorting mechanism and various types of jig pallets the pallatizer even helps automate part-alignment processes considered difficult and up to this time performed manually.
2002 Against a backdrop in which vibration testing was gaining greater recognition from the point of view of reliability and safety, IDEX develops Transportation Tester designed to help eliminate problems encountered during the transportation of products.
2003 Transportation Tester BF-50UT featuring triaxial simultaneous vibration is commercialized. The tester is capable of recreating up to 90% of conditions occurring during actual transportation, something that was difficult to do using vibration tests of packaged products based on JIS Z0232/ISO 13355 Standards.
2004 The Vibration Tester BF-50UD featuring biaxial vibration and designed for use with electronic devices and precision instruments is released. The Tester's unique vibration system greatly enhances defect detection rate during vibration and endurance characteristics tests.
2005 IDEX starts joint research on the Transportation Tester in conjunction with professor Katsuhiko Saito of the Transport Packaging Laboratory, Faculty of Maritime Sciences, Kobe University. Using their respective technological knowledge, data and other resources, the aim is to develop a test system emphasizing the correlation between actual transportation, and JIS/ISO standards, and economic efficiency.
2006

IDEX receives an award for the company's Transportation Tester BF-50UT at the 18th Contest for New Technologies and New Products of Small and Midsize Business, sponsored by The Resona Foundation For Small And Medium Enterprise Promotion and The Nikkan Kogyo Shinbun.

Transportation Tester BF-100UT is introduced into the market for use with large packaged cargo. The tester is capable of handling loads up 120 kg and features triaxial simultaneous vibration.

IDEX becomes a member of the Japan Packaging Institute (JPI) and The Society of Packaging Science & Technology, Japan (SPSTJ)

IDEX applies for international patents for its product, the Transportation Tester in the US, 6 EU countries, China, and Korea.

IDEX in conjunction with Kobe University makes a presentation at the 15th Annual Convention of the Society of Packaging Science & Technology, Japan. The presentation is on how to use the Transportation Tester BF-50UT to simulate and verify wear damage that can occur in the distribution environment.

The Transportation Tester BF-50UT (triaxial vibration) and Vibration Tester BF-UT (biaxial vibration), both compatible with EU's CE marking and ROHS requirements, are introduced into the market.

IDEX makes a presentation at the 44th All-Japan Packaging Technique Study Convention sponsored by the Japan Packaging Institute. The presentation makes suggestions regarding conditions considered ideal during the simulation of transportation of packages over a distance of 1000 km using the Transportation Tester BF-50UT.

2007

IDEX acquires ISO9001 certification

IDEX makes a presentation at the monthly meeting (June) of the Japan Food Packaging Association. The presentation is on the results of studies regarding effective package design conducted using the IDEX's Transportation Tester BF-50UT and the Triaxial Wireless Motion Recorder.

IDEX in conjunction with Kobe University makes a presentation at the 16th Annual Convention of the Society of Packaging Science & Technology, Japan. The topic of the presentation is the quantification of damage using image analysis, which will enable a comparison of the degree of damage to products. Using this method will make possible the numerical comparison of damage detected using the Transportation Tester and damage occurring in the transportation environment.

Capital is increased to 30 million yen

With the aim of strengthening the sale of its products inside Korea, the company establishes IDEX Korea in the outskirts of Soul. The newly established company starts operations.

IDEX develops, commercializes and markets the vibrator type Parts Palletizer, BFP-5C (compact size).
